Once the brake hole is drilled thru the casting a spot facing tool is employed to ensure perfect seating for the recessed brake bolt nut.

Reynolds 725 GX2650 seat stays are now brass brazed (preforms inserted into the seatstays before brazing) to the LAN71 road wishbone casting all fitted up into the Marchetti fork brazing fixture.

Experimental tapered steering column 28.6mm (1-1/8") o.d. at the fork crown end with 1.6mm wall tapering to 25.4mm (1") o.d. at the top with 1.3mm wall. Steerer is 230mm in length and weighs 194gm.

36tt31.75 head tube for 36x31.75 bottom head tube lug and 31.75x28.6 top head lug. Head tube is designed for constant radius 36mm mitre for the down tube/head tube mitre and the 31.75 top tube/head tube mitre.

Seat lug slitting on the Bridgeport. Old VAR tube clamp is held in a Speed Vise and the slitting saw is clamped in a Lyndex arbor. This step is completed prior to brazing the wishbone rear triangle.

Turning a new batch of ASP 2004 HSS tube mitre cutters in 28.6, 31.7, 36.0 and 38.1. Photo is of the 3/4" shank turning to 0.76" which will be ground to 0.75".
