Ancient statuary seen during Sicilian holiday.

Before lunch. Strawberry shop dogs in anticipation. Probably given to my father in the 1920's as he grew up with Scoties. The artist is Cecil Aldin of England who painted rural scenes of Britain.

After lunch. Scoties are contented. On the Strawberry shop wall hanging above the lathe. Reminds me when it is time to break off for lunch.

2 January, 2017. Happy New Year. Alba, our Spinone Italiano is perusing the Reynolds cycle tube inventory shelving expansion. Now the 921 stainless tubing and the 853 heat treated air hardening tubing have their own pigeon holes and the 525,725, 631 and 531 share two rows of pigeon holes. This should speed up order picking this year quite significantly.

January 7th, 2017 and it is snowing outside but in the Strawberry lunchroom there is paella cooking for nice hot lunch

Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, Oregon, just a stones throw away from the Strawberry Garage, was kind to donate this photo from the 1890's to my website. The venue is Multnomah Field where for many years bicycle track races were held. I am unsure but believe the track was flat - not a velodrome but I could be mistaken. MAC was founded in 1891 during the heyday of track cycling and for quite sometime the club owned Multnomah Field which is now home to the Timbers and Thorns soccer teams which are enormously popular. Cycle racing has taken a bit of a back seat to soccer.

In 1972 I visited Reynolds when they were still part of TI Group. Terry Bill showed me around the factory behind the famous Hay Hall (pictured above) and we had a very nice luncheon. When it was time to go I was given the ashtray in the photo. I don't smoke much but do treasure the ashtray.
